Mason Smith Tops Big O’s Quarantine Nationals

ENNIS, Texas – Mason Smith collected the checkered flag in Saturday’s 305 non-winged sprint car portion of the Quarantine Nationals at Big O Speedway.

Coming from the third starting position, Smith held off 11th-place starter Evan Pardo to pick up the victory at the quarter-mile clay oval.

Cody Price was third, followed by Ryan Hall and Craig Oakes.

Heats for the 305 sprint car portion of the event were won by Michael Day, Oakes, Gary Floyd and Hall.

In other action, Jim Moon started from the pole and won the 20-lap UMP late model feature. Bryce Pritchett took top honors in the USRA factory stock event and J.C. Howell came from seventh to win the USRA limited modified event.

Other winners included Dean Cleghorn in the regular factory stock class, Jett Hefti in the hornet division, Walter Hamilton in the limited sport mods and Corey Babbitt in the mod lites.
