HANOVER, Pa. – The honeymoon continues for Isaac Sneeringer.
Just a few weeks back from his marriage to Monica, Sneeringer claimed his first win of the year in the 358 sprint car feature at Trail-Way Speedway Friday night.
“It’s been a while, and great to get to victory lane,” said Sneeringer upon exiting his DCI Racing/Todd A. Gosnell Paving #19Z.
Sneeringer started third and assumed the front spot when race leader Dwight Leppo spun in turn two of lap 14. He led the rest of the way, with four-time winner and points leader Brad McClelland crossing second.
Third through fifth were Seth Kearchner, 12th starting and hard charger Jeff Rohrbaugh (driving the Shane Smith #00), and Randy Whisler.
It was the fifth appearance of the year for Sneeringer, who thanked father Dave (car owner) and his crew in victory lane.
Bret Cronrath started on the pole and led every lap of the 20-lap 600cc micro-sprint feature.
The race was red-flagged for a five-car crash that resulted in a turn four flip by Travis Scott on the first lap. Scott was uninjured, but was unable to continue.
Dwayne Gutshall started third and chased Cronrath the entire way to finish second..
Michael Goodwin claimed the win in a wild 20-lap street stock event that saw the Miner’s Machine cars of Dan Furman and Craig Wagaman battling with him for the top spot.
Brothers Wes and Roland Brown finished first and second in the 20-lap Classic Car feature.
Matt Chronister raced to his fourth win of the year in the 15-lap limited stock main event.
