SAPULPA, Okla. – Matt Sherrell took home two trophies Friday night from Creek County Speedway, winning both the Wingless Sprints Oklahoma and POWRi West Midget features.
Sherrell assumed control of the Wingless Sprints Oklahoma race on the 20th of 30 laps, then pulled away from Andrew Deal and Brett Wilson in the closing stages.
Danny Smith crossed fourth, with Ty Hulsey – who paced the first 19 circuits – completing the top five.
The POWRi West feature was a simpler affair for Sherrell, who started from the pole and won the 25-lap main event over Hank Davis and Andrew Felker.
Cody Brewer and Chance Morton finished fourth and fifth, respectively.
