MERIDAN, Idaho – For the second time this season, Jeremy Doss was triumphant in the CarbonX Rocky Mountain Challenge Series, winning Saturday’s event at Meridian Speedway.
Numerous caution flags slowed the action on the tight and tricky quarter-mile paved oval but nothing seemed to rattle the youngster as he was clearly the class of the field.
Following Doss to the line was Craig Bell who made his first start of the season and led most of the first half of the race. Bruce Quale finished third after having to make several pit stops for repairs due to an incident early in the event.
John Nesmith finished fourth and for a time looked to have played the right strategy making his way to the lead on lap 60, but he was involved in an incident a lap later and had to pit for adjustments.
Rounding out the top five was Rick Fowble as he recorded his first top five finish of the season and third top ten performance this year.
The rest of the top ten included Thane Alderman, Tyler Monroe, Tyler Bailey, Lee Hackney, and Steve Jones.
Trevor Cristiana from California was the quick qualifier, winning the Sharp Powder Coating Fast Time Award.
