Turkey Derby Postponed Amid COVID-19 Restrictions

WALL TOWNSHIP, N.J. – Officials from Wall Stadium Speedway have announced that the annual running of the Turkey Derby has been postponed amid new COVID-19 restrictions.

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy recently announced a series of new restrictions as COVID-19 cases spike across the country. As a result of those restrictions, track officials at Wall Stadium Speedway have been left with no choice but to postpone the event.

The 2020 edition of the Turkey Derby was originally scheduled to begin on Nov. 21 and continue next weekend on Nov. 27-28.

Depending upon how long Governor Murphy’s COVID-19 restrictions last, the Turkey Derby will either take place on Jan. 1-3 or on March 13-14 and March 20 of next year.
