BINGHAMTON, N.Y. – The Icebreaker VII Weekend will take place at Selinsgrove Speedway on March 14-15 and will once again feature the Race of Champions Dirt Modified Tour.
This year, for the first time, the Race of Champions Dirt Sportsman Series will get an opportunity to tackle one of the fastest dirt ovals in the entire northeast.
The Race of Champions Dirt Sportsman Tour will run in a 20 lap event on Saturday paying a minimum of $1,200 to win. This will mark the first time that the Sportsman stars have had the opportunity to compete at the Selinsgrove Speedway.
On Friday evening the Race of Champions Dirt Modified Small Block teams will do battle with at 25-lap feature event. There will be hot lap sessions for both the RoC Big Block Modified teams and the Sportsman teams on Friday as well.
Saturday will feature the Race of Champions Dirt Modified Tour in a 40 lap feature event along with the first ever appearance of the RoC Sportsman. There should be a big field of the top northeast Sportsman teams in competition for the RoC Tour lid lifter.
“We have talked about adding the RoC Sportsman in years past but felt that this would the perfect year to make it happen,” said Icebreaker VII Event Promoter Joe Kaminski. “It is hard to believe this will already be the seventh edition of this event and we are excited to be working with the Race of Champions Tours again this year.”
