PORT COLBORNE, Ontario – Jordan Poirier earned his first New Humberstone Speedway checkered flag Sunday night by winning the 360 sprint car feature at the track.
Cory Turner chased him across the line in second ahead of Liam Martin, Shone Evans and Mitch Brown.
In other sprint car action, Martin topped the Action Sprint Tour main event over Nick Sheridan, Allen Downey, Paul Klager and Steven Beckett.
During hot laps, both sprint car divisions saw new track records set. Jacob Dykstra set ran a 13.649-second lap during hot laps for the Action Sprint Tour. Evans shattered the 360 sprint car track record by almost two seconds with a 12.788-second lap.
Other feature winners included Steve Shaw in the JC Auto Thunderstocks and Kyle Rothwell in the Glo & Go Tanning Mini Stocks.
