Toledo Sets Three Events With Spectators

TOLEDO, Ohio — Toledo Speedway management has received permission form government officials to conduct racing events with spectators in the grandstands at the historic half-mile asphalt track.

Speedway officials are finalizing plans to host race teams with fans in the grandstands for three premier racing events to close out the season. Grandstand ticketing will be limited to 1,500 with a standard admission price for all events of $25 per person, with specified seating locations to ensure social distancing and presale offering contactless purchasing.

In accordance with the August 19 State of Ohio Department of Health Director’s Order, Toledo Speedway’s plan for strict adherence to the guidelines outlined has resulted in approval by the Toledo-Lucas County Health Department for limited spectator attendance.

As a priority, the safety and health of participants, spectators and employees will require all attendees to follow guidelines posted at www.toledospeedway.com as a condition for admission.

On Sept. 12 the ARCA Menards Series will see action at Toledo Speedway for the fourth time this season, but for the first time with fans, for the ARCA 200. It will be the 15th of 20 events for the series with the 200-lap race run in three segments with scheduled pit stops at the breaks.

The signature event of the Toledo Speedway, the 32nd annual Glass City 200, will take place on its originally scheduled date of Sept. 19. A pair of 100-lap contests are on the slate, as the ARCA/CRA Super Series and the outlaw-bodied late models hit the track in separate 100-lap events.

A tradition at Toledo Speedway since the 1960s is USAC open-wheel racing and the USAC Silver Crown Series will be on hand as scheduled on Oct. 4 for the annual Rollie Beale Classic sponsored by Hemelgarn Racing and SuperFitness.

ARCA Sportsman, street stocks, factory stocks and Figure-8s will also be on the card.
