KNOXVILLE, Iowa – The Marion County Fair Board selected a management team to oversee the day to day operation of the Knoxville Raceway and Marion County Fair last night at their regular meeting.
Brian Stickel has been promoted to General Manager and will also direct the marketing and sales efforts at the track. Gary Schumacher has been named Director of Human Resources and will take over the Office Manager duties in addition to his accounting responsibilities and John McCoy will remain Race Director for all Knoxville Raceway events.
“I am very excited about this new opportunity at the greatest dirt track in the world,” said Stickel. “We are looking forward to a great season in 2013 with our many partners and fans that make this track the best place to be on Saturday night.”
Knoxville Raceway hosts 33 events from April through September each year. Premier events include the 53rd Knoxville Nationals Aug. 7-10, the Arnold Motor Supply 360 Knoxville Nationals Aug. 1-3, the Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals Sept. 26-28 and the Lucas Oil Knoxville Championship Cup Series.
