MACON, Ill. – Defending Macon Speedway BillingsleyRewards.com Modifieds track champion Tommy Sheppard Jr. defended his home turf Saturday night.
Sheppard took the lead from the start Saturday’s 20-lap feature and kept his distance from the rest of the field. Jacob Steinkoenig gave chase, but Sheppard put slower cars between himself and his fellow competitor as the race wore on.
Sheppard would easily claim the victory, followed by Steinkoenig, Shaun Horstmann, Brian Diveley and Rodney Standerfer.
Bobby Beiler topped the 15-lap feature in the Archer’s Street Stock class while Kyle Helmick was the winner in the Pro Modified division. Dennis Vandermeersch was a winner again in Sportsman competition, Jake Little topped the Pro Late Model class, Trevin Littleton was a winner in Micro Sprint action and Billy Mason earned his first Hornet division victory.
