Rice Lake Speedway Reveals Hall Of Fame Class

RICE LAKE, Wis. – Rice Lake Speedway’s Hall of Fame Committee met recently to select candidates to add to the speedway’s Hall of Fame.

In these unusual times, the Committee was not able to meet in person to select the new members but through various other means of communication, the voting was done and the candidates selected.

For the 2020 induction ceremony, the new members in the driver’s category will be Al Hajdasz and the late Gene Bolin. Selected in the Friends of the Speedway category were Jim Randall and Larry Johnson.

These four men will be added to the speedway’s Hall of Fame in a ceremony slated to be held during the races on Saturday night, Aug. 15. The class of 2020 will be the tenth year that the speedway has held the ceremony to add members to their Hall of Fame. Hajdasz, Randall and Johnson will all be on hand to accept their rewards while members of the Bolin family will be present to accept his award.

In other racing news, the speedway continues to be in a wait and see pattern relative to the opening of Rice Lake Speedway for this year. At this point, May 2 continues to be the target date, but that will be determined by events in the coming weeks.
