WILMOT, Wis. – Taylor Scheffler was declared the winner of Saturday’s Dirt King Late Model Tour season finale on Saturday night at Wilmot Raceway after stormy weather forced officials to call the event past halfway.
Scheffler bested Justin Schmidt to win the Jim Wildman Watson Classic. Justin Ritchie finished third and won the series championship. Turk Letizia and Troy Springborn completed the top-five.
Modifieds, non-winged sprint cars, bandits and street stocks were also scheduled to compete, but those features were not held due to rain.
In addition to being the season finale for the Dirt King Late Model Tour, the event also served as the season finale for Wilmot Raceway.
