LIMA, Ohio – Jamie Miller continued his recent hot streak on Friday at Limaland Motorsports Park by capturing the JLH General Contractor FAST 305 Championship Series presented by Engine Pro victory.
Miller won at Attica Raceway Park two weeks ago and followed that with a second-place run the next night at Fremont Speedway. Last week’s races were rained out, but that didn’t dampen Miller’s speed as the FAST series headed to Limaland for the first time this year.
Miller drove the Ryan French-owned machine into the early lead of the feature. When Miller encountered lapped traffic on lap eight, veteran Alvin Roepke closed quickly. Roepke utilized the lapped cars to grab the lead on lap 13. Meanwhile 12th starting John Ivy had worked his way to third.
Stuart Williams brought out the caution with eight laps to go after making contact with the frontstretch wall. On the ensuing restart Miller drove back by Roepke to retake the lead right before Chase Dunham tumbled in turn four. Though he walked away, his night was over. On the final restart Miller was able to get away for good over a hard charging Ivy followed by Roepke, Dustin Stroup and Bryan Sebetto.
In other action, Brian Post would pick up his first Limaland victory in the K&N Filters UMP Modified division while Shawn Valenti earned another victory in the Budweiser Thunderstocks class.
