MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa – Chalk up another win for Tom Berry Jr.
The IMCA modified speedster topped Friday’s headlining IMCA modified feature at Marshalltown Speedway with a dominant charge from seventh to first.
Wasting no time, he found the lead by lap three and led the remaining distance of the 25-lap main event in his familiar No. 11x. It extended a career-best season for Berry, who boasts more than 15 wins this season, ahead of the Speedway Motors Super Nationals.
Tim Ward crossed second, 1.465 seconds back, followed by Riley Simmons, Cody Laney and Chris Elliott.
Winners in other classes during the five-division IMCA program included Eric Stanton (Hobby Stock), Johnathon Logue (SportMod), Dallon Murty (Stock Car) and Jake Benischek (Sport Compacts).
