WALL, N.J. — Wall Stadium operator Cliff Krause has revealed the “base schedule” for the third-mile asphalt oval this season.
On-track action will begin April 2 with the first of two paid practice sessions, with the second practice scheduled for April 9. The regular season will open April 16 and will continue weekly through Sept. 24, which the exception of June 18 when the Formula D Drift Championship Tour visits the track.
Details about two post season events, the Halloween Spectacular Oct. 22 and the Thanksgiving weekend Turkey Derby will be released later in the season.
“Since we didn’t sign the papers until January, we got a late start on the schedule,” Krause said. “I wanted to get this schedule out so that our regular competitors can plan their season. I am still talking to other groups about the speedway so our schedule could really fill out by the time we are done with it.”
Wall Stadium’s regular divisions, modifieds, sportsman, street stocks, Legends cars and factory stocks, will be the focus of much of the regular season action. Each division will be highlighted in regular and extra-distance events and each class will also have a few nights off during the campaign.
In addition to the regular divisions, three-quarter midgets, micro stocks and the 4C supermodifieds are currently scheduled to compete during the regular season. Special fan participation events will also be offered during the regular season.
