Virginia Motor Speedway Postpones Opener

JAMAICA, Va. – In response to the coronavirus pandemic, Virginia Motor Speedway will be postponing the start of the season.

This decision comes per recent CDC guidelines and the State of Virginia banning events of 100 or more people.

“Officials of Virginia Motor Speedway will continue to closely monitor the situation in coordination with federal, state, local, and public health officials, along with information based on guidelines from the CDC to determine when it will be safe to reopen,” the track said in a statement. “The health and safety of our race fans and drivers is our top priority.”
