NEWBERRYTOWN, Pa. - The next to last event of the 2013 season at the Susquehanna Speedway Park was held on Saturday afternoon, with Patrick McClane claiming the victory in the 100-lap Big Car Enduro at the 10th Annual Turkey 200.
McClane battled Michael Goodwin and took over the lead for good on lap 49. This is McClane’s third Turkey 200 win. Jim Jacobs finished three laps down in third, followed by Noah Frazier in fourth. Denny Nester rounded out the top five.
The Small Car 100-lap Enduro found Curt McDade taking the checkers over Tom Senseney. McDade took the lead on lap 22 and never looked back. Daryl Sipe, also on the lead lap finished third. Tim Osheehan finished in fourth followed by Ricky Weaver Jr. in fifth, both who were two laps down.
Tom Hartman took the early lead of the 15-lap Mini Van feature over John Kitner. Kitner took the top spot on lap three. With three laps remaining, Hartman regained the top spot and went on to take his first career Mini Van feature win. Kitner settled for second with Donny Groff and Zakari Kitner finishing very close behind in third and fourth respectively. Brian Steiner rounded out the top five.
On the start, Steve Cantwell took the lead, with Brandon Little taking over the top spot on the second circuit. Joe Snodgrass became the third leader of the race on lap seven. A hard-charging Matt Wallace took the lead on the final circuit to take the checkers over Snodgrass. Brandon Little settled for third with Steve Cantwell and Pete Neal finishing fourth and fifth respectively.
In the 25-lap All American Outlaw feature event, Hunter Nester grabbed the early lead. Randy Doty took the lead from Nester on lap four and never faltered as he went on to take the checkers over Fred Cullum and Hunter Nester. Justin Cullum finished fourth with Brad Shenk finishing in the fifth place spot.
