Female Driver Killed At Wall Stadium


WALL TOWNSHIP, N.J. –¬†Amanda Gambacorto, a 21-year-old driver, was killed Saturday afternoon after a crash at Wall Stadium.

State police released a statement saying the crash took place at 12:30 p.m. She was in a three-quarter midget and crashed into the turn two wall. She was taking taking part in the Green Flag Driving Experience at the facility, which teaches the basics of racing to beginners.

Gambacorto was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, N.J., after the crash and was declared dead shortly thereafter.

All other events scheduled for Saturday at Wall Stadium have been canceled.
