Falk Rules Langley Asphalt


HAMPTON, Va. — C.E. Falk moved out front on lap 32 and rolled to his second straight win in the Carl’s Racing Products 125 for the EZ Auto in Newport News Late Model Stock Cars Saturday night at Langley Speedway.

Matt Waltz earned the pole, at 91.312 mph, and led the first 31 circuits with Falk in tow. On lap 32, Falk slipped a fender underneath Waltz off turn two and pulled ahead.

By the finish, Falk’s winning margin had grown to nearly a full straightaway over Waltz. Nick Smith was third, while rookie Brenden Queen posted his second fourth-place run. Danny Edwards Jr. completed the top five.

John Pereira started on the pole and led all 40 laps for his second win in the Butterfoss & Barton Orthodontics Super Street feature.

In the 25-lap Larry King Law Super Truck race, fast qualifier Robbie Davis overcame an inversion of the top six, taking the lead on lap eight and sailed to his second win. Pole starter Connor Hall held off a race-long challenge from Spencer Saunders to bag his first victory in the 25-lap Cycle City Corp. INEX Legends feature.

Bobby Hall took the lead on the opening circuit and showed the way to his first win in the 30-lap Standard Welding Pro Six race. Tim Wilson set a new division record in Carroll�s Automotive UCAR qualifying, 74.252 mph, and backed it up with his second win.

Maddy Mulligan started on the pole, at 69.325 mph (a new division record), and wired the field for her second win in a 15-lapper for the Xtreme Mechanical Service INEX Bandoleros.
