RACINE, Ohio — Beckley Motorsports Park is officially an AMRA-sanctioned race track in 2013 the American Motor Racing Ass’n announced Friday.
Beckley joins Skyline Speedway, Ohio Valley Speedway, Jackson County (Ohio) Speedway, The Legendary Hilltop Speedway, and Thunder Mountain Speedway on the AMRA slate.
O’Brion Motor Speedway Dirt Track may be set to re-open under the AMRA banner again in 2013, while the AMRA contingent remains hopeful that I-77 Motorsports Park will again be under the AMRA banner in 2013.
Joe and Billy Joe Jackson, the promoters of Beckley Motorsports Park, have signed and are on board for the 2013 race season.
“The Jacksons are first class all the way around,” said Scott Wolfe, director of racing operations for the AMRA. “They have shown that they are serious about promoting Beckley Motorsports Park, and the efforts they have put forth over the last year and a half are taking the racing in that community to the next level. Beckley has always been an anchor for the AMRA and we are extremely happy that Beckley is part of the AMRA family.”
