The Late Model feature was equally impressive. Tyler Carpenter shot into the early lead as Chris Garnes’ mount seemed to stumble on the start. Carpenter raced to about a ten car length lead, but by lap six was approaching heavy lapped traffic. Garnes had begun to reel him back in when the yellow flew for a collision that collected Austin Eddy, Larry Bond and Tony Roush.
On the restart Carpenter again took the lead, but a great battle had begun. Garnes and Carpenter ran side-by-side with Garnes narrowly leading laps seven and eight. Still the fight continued with Fast Freddie Carpenter, Ronnie Mayle, Andy Bond, and Travis Brookover climbing into the hunt.
Garnes and Carpenter continued to dual, but by lap 14 Andy Bond had joined the battle. Freddie Carpenter dropped out with mechanical woes leaving Tyler to defend the family name. Garnes bored it into turn one on the 19th circuit, only to get airborne. Despite a rough landing, Garnes stormed off the turn to again challenge Garnes, but a left rear tire went flat forcing Garnes into a spin directly in front of the field.
All ended well, but Garnes was done for the night, leaving the chase to Bond who fell short by a car length at the finish. Mayle was also within a couple car lengths coming off turn four for a great finish. In the Kryptonite AMRA Late Models, Tyler French was the Hard Charger moving up eight positions from 14th to 6th. John Church also had a great run into the top ten.
At one point both Ralph Withem and Brookover had challenged for third ahead of Mayle, but the barnstorming Mayle again found his rhythym and stymied that duo’s challenges.
Rounding out the top ten behind Carpenter were Andy Bond, Ronnie Mayle, Travis Brookover, Ralph Withem, Tyler French, Nick Dohm, John Church Chris Garnes, and Steve Bigley.
Tracy Fritter ran into the next county with a sizeable win over Anthony Helms, Andrew Hart, and Randy Kearns i the Mod Lite Feature. Fritter raced on to the win.
Zach Carr blitzed to yet another Mike’s Auto Body Mini Wedge main over Hunter Krivesti, Tanner Martin, Aiden Powell, and Kasey Rankin.
