Bouche Nabs First Of 2013 At Thunderhill

Zellner had a straight away lead with only five laps remaining when the caution flew. This put Hayes and LeMieux Jr. on his back spoiler. The green dropped and Zellner again dusted the field pulling away in dominating fashion to earn his first ever feature win. LeMieux Jr. was second, Reinhardt came home third, Jarred VanLaanen rallied late for fourth and Jesse Kroll rounded out the top five.

For the second week in a row Rookie Greg Gretz led every lap en route to victory in the IMCA Modifieds.

Point leader James Tebon gave chase getting to Gretz’s back bumper late in the going but didn’t have enough to make the pass. For Gretz it was a clean sweep after winning his heat race earlier in the night. Tebon settled for second once again, Dan Ratajczak was third, Billy LeMieux brought home fourth and Eugene Gregorich Sr. was fifth. The contest went green to checker. Tebon leads Ratajczak by a mere two points.

Scott Boulanger earned his fourth feature win of the season in the IMCA Hobby Stocks.

Dave Schmidt slid past Travis LeMaye for the lead on the opening lap. Schmidts lead was erased as Scott Boulanger raced by down low for the top spot on lap four. Schmidt stayed within striking distance the entire race but it was all Boulanger when the checkers fell. Schmidt was a strong second, last weeks winner Sawyer Haese was third, point leader Derek Moede was fourth and Joe Hegnet rounded out the top five.

Johnny “The Jet” Sternard scored a clean sweep in the Street Stocks.

Sternard slipped from row two to the lead on the opening lap. Sternard paced the field until a series of cautions set up a 6 lap dash to the checker. Sternard was stalked by point leader Keith Kickbusch the rest of the way but Sternard who is a former Street Stock champion was up for the challenge earning his first feature win of the year. Kickbusch padded his point lead with second, Brandon Peterson was third, Kevin Luedtke came home fourth and Todd Wagner placed fifth.
