LUCAMA, N.C. – Officials with Southern National Motorsports Park have hired Brad Allen as the track’s new general manager.
Allen comes with a wealth of experience and respect in the racing industry. His overall senior level of experience is expected to help SNMP continue to bring in more racers and more fans at a record pace.
“I’m excited as we take this whole thing to a new level. We want this track to grow by leaps and bounds, it’s already at the pinnacle but we can always go further, that’s my goal here,” said Allen, who for the last several years has served as GM at Ace Speedway in Altamahaw, N.C.
“Allen’s appointment could not have come at a better time,” said SNMP co-owner Jerry Brown. “We have been experiencing a great deal of racer and fan excitement as we concluded our inaugural year of racing with the huge success of the Thanksgiving Classic. Brad’s depth of experience, leadership acumen and track record of success are exactly what we need for our next major phase of growth.”
SNMP, a four-tenths-mile asphalt oval, is located in Lucama just outside of Kenly, N.C. Francis Tuttle, who also designed Talladega Superspeedway and the Texas World Speedway, designed SNMP.
