When the final checkers flew on June 12 at Kokomo Speedway, Buddy Kofoid sat atop the points, earning his first Indiana Midget Week title. Kofoid won two events – at Bloomington and Gas City – in the Keith Kunz/Curb-Agajanian Motorsports No. 67 on his way to capturing the IMW championship.
When the final checkers flew on June 12 at Kokomo Speedway, Buddy Kofoid sat atop the points, earning his first Indiana Midget Week title. Kofoid won two events — at Bloomington and Gas City — in the Keith Kunz/Curb-Agajanian Motorsports No. 67 on his way to capturing the IMW championship.
This year saw USAC‘s largest IMW, racing eight races over 10 days. Previously, the record was six events (2017 & 2020). Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt and Circle City Raceway in Indianapolis made their first appearance on the Midget Week schedule. Another record was set, as well, with seven different winners taking checkers during the IMW. Indiana Midget Week is sanctioned by the USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget Series.
