Known simply as “Mario” to legions of race fans around the world, Mario Andretti continues to charm folks wherever he goes.
The 1969 Indianapolis 500 winner, who started on the dirt tracks of the Northeast, also won the Daytona 500, the 24 Hours of Daytona and the 1978 Formula One world driving championship. In addition, he collected four Indy car titles.
