1992: Kinser led flag to flag to win the Nationals for the eighth time.

1993: Despite losing the lead early in the race, Kinser battled past Stevie Smith to collect $70,000 for his ninth Nationals score.

1994: Taking the lead from Jeff Swindell on lap eight, Kinser cruised to an $80,000 triumph

1995: Driving his own Steve Kinser Racing sprint car, Kinser raced from 14th on the grid for his fifth consecutive and 11th overall Knoxville Nationals victory. His payoff was a record $100,000.

1996: Mark Kinser earned his first Nationals win, giving his father, Karl, a victory with his third different driver.

1997: After Saturday night storms pushed the finale to Sunday, Dave Blaney edged Greg Hodnett for his only Nationals triumph.

1998: A raucous crowd cheered its local hero as Danny Lasoski passed Sammy Swindell on the last lap for his first Nationals score.

1999: Mark Kinser made a late-race pass of Lasoski to win his second Nationals main event.

2000: Mark Kinser ran down Donny Schatz in lapped traffic to win for the third time in five years.

2001: Lasoski led all 30 laps and banked a record $125,000 driving for Tony Stewart Racing.
