Tim Richmond

Best remembered for his success in NASCAR, Tim Richmond started his career racing open-wheel cars. He made two appearances in the Greatest Spectacle in Racing, finishing ninth in 1980 to earn the Indianapolis 500 Rookie of the Year Award. He returned in 1981, starting a car that qualified by George Snider and driving it to a 14th-place finish.
