A.J. Allmendinger

Best known for his lengthy stint in NASCAR, A.J. Allmendinger took his stab at the Indianapolis 500 in 2013. Driving for Roger Penske, he qualified fifth and finished seventh after leading 23 laps. Were it not for a loose safety harness that forced him to make an unscheduled pit stop from the lead, Allmendinger may have won the race.
