Riley Kreisel‘s race team is a legitimate family operation, comprised of his parents, sister, and girlfriend. And along the way, they‘ve achieved quite a bit of success.
Riley gets his passion for racing through his father, Richard Kreisel, who has raced micros, midgets and sprint cars, as well as his uncle, Stanley Kreisel, who races micros, as well.
At the age of seven, he launched his racing career in Jr. Sprints, earning seven feature wins and the third in points at his local track.
From there, Riley moved to the Restricted 600cc micro class. He finished sixth in his local track‘s points in that first micro season, then took seven wins in 2011 on his way to claiming the track championship.
In 2013, Riley competed in the non-winged 600cc micro class, finishing seventh in points. He earned four wins in 2014, and finished the season sixth in points.
In 2015, he took on the POWRi Lucas Oil WAR Sprint League, finishing fourth in points to earn the series‘ Rookie of the Year honors.
He also finished seventh in points with the Allstar Midget Series, a year before he earned the POWRi Allstar Midget championship in 2016.

In 2018, Kreisel took the lead in the POWRi Lucas Oil WAR Sprint League points following the season‘s second event and held on to it for the rest of the season.
When he signed in at the series‘ finale, at Jacksonville Speedway — at the age of 18 years, five months, and 13 days — he became the youngest champion in WAR Sprint League history.
In 2019, he earned three feature wins and nine top-fives on his way to successfully defending his POWRi WAR Sprint League title, becoming the series‘ first two-time champion.
This past season, four wins and 10 top-10 finishes propelled Kreisel to his third consecutive POWRi WAR championship.
When he‘s not honing his skills behind the wheel of a race car, Kreisel is busy working at the family dyno business, where he helps tune the powerplants of sprint cars, midgets, and modifieds.
In addition, when he was just 17, he served as a crew member with a team on the ASCS National Tour.
