4-CROWN

Brady Bacon

KTJ led Bacon, Swanson, Justin Grant and Chris Windom to the restart. On lap 12, Jason McDougal spun in turn one, collecting Tyler Courtney, and ending not only both their nights but Courtney‘s hopes for a sweep of the three USAC divisions.

Following the restart, Thomas and Bacon began to pull away from the field. With 13-to-go, Bacon, running the middle, began challenging Thomas for the lead, as Thomas ran the cushion against the wall.

On lap 41, Thomas got over the cushion, rubbing the right rear against the wall and Bacon took full advantage and drove the Klatt No. 6 into the lead. Bacon pulled away, and with three-to-go had a 2.241 second lead. “The Macho Man” stayed out front, weaving through lapped traffic to earn the win.

Thomas took second, with Grant third, Swanson fourth, and Shane “The Throttle” Cottle charging from 24th to fifth.
