4-CROWN

Tyler Courtney

Leary was brought to the work area for a new left rear, however, the crew struggled to remove the left rear. The field fired off without Leary, just as they were finally able to get the damaged wheel off the axle.

Second place runner Chris Windom tried to challenge Courtney on the restart, but was unable to get it done as Courtney pulled away from the field, building up a two-second lead over Windom. With two-to-go, Courtney tagged the wall exiting turn two but stayed out front to earn the win — making him the only driver in history to win four consecutive USAC sprint car features at Eldora — with Windom, KTJ, Justin Grant and Brady Bacon rounding out the top five.

Forty-two winged sprint cars took time for the All Stars portion of the 4-Crown, with Gio Scelzi turning a fast lap of 13.195 in Bernie Stuebgen‘s mount. Two Cales, Conley and Thomas, led the feature field to the green with Trevor Baker ing and Skylar Gee involved. Both rejoined the field for the second attempt at getting under green as Cale Thomas took the early lead, as Cale Conley and Cory Eliason battled for second.

Eliason slid Thomas in turns three and four to take over the point on lap seven. One lap later, Gio Scelzi ran the bottom groove to pass Thomas for second.

On lap 10, third place runner Cale Thomas spun in turn three bringing out the caution. Eliason led Scelzi, Aaron Reutzel, Conley and Greg Wilson to the restart.

Eliason pulled away as Scelzi and Reutzel battled for second, with Reutzel claiming the spot one lap later.

On lap 15, Trevor Baker rolled to a stop on the frontstretch. Reutzel took full advantage of the restart, sliding Eliason in one and two to take the point. Reutzel weaved through lapped traffic for the remainder of the 25-lapper to earn the win, with Eliason, Scelzi, Buddy Kofoid and Dale Blaney rounding out the top five.

When the USAC Silver Crown feature went green, pole-sitter Kevin Thomas Jr. grabbed the early lead, as fourth-place starter Brady Bacon quickly jumped into second, with Kody Swanson third. Nine laps in, Steve Buckwalter and John Heidenreich got together in turn two bringing out the caution.
