Glory Days: Haudenschild Wins The Big One

Jac Haudenschild sped around Mark Kinser on a late-race restart and went on to win the inaugural Historical Big One at Ohio’s Eldora Speedway on Aug. 14, 1993.

Driving Jac Elden’s familiar Pennzoil No. 22, it was the first victory of the season for Haudenschild, who held off Kinser and Keith Kauffman for the victory in what was at the time the highest-paying winner’s purse in sprint car racing history.
