Glory Days: 1968 USAC At Winchester

The USAC National Sprint Car Series visited Winchester Speedway on Sept. 15, 1968 with 35 cars making qualifying runs.

Larry Dickson won the 100-lap feature to grab his 12th victory of the season aboard the Stapp No. 27 sprint car.

Charlie Masters finished second, while Greg Weld, pictured above, finished third. Bruce Walkup came home fifth.

Sam Sessions, Gary Bettenhausen, Aldo Andretti and John Capels were among those in the field.
