JOHNSON VALLEY, Calif. — Master of the rock trails, Randy Slawson made a winning pass to take the overall lead in the Every Man Challenge at King of the Hammers.
Slawson a former KOH King, raced his own Bomber Fabrication built car for a successful day on the Hammers trails in the Branik Motorsports Legends class. Woody Rose who had an early physical lead came in second.
Meantime in the stock class, it was a one-two podium for the Ford Broncos. Bailey Cole came away with top honors, edging out the Funhaver team of Vaughn Gittin Jr and Loren Healy. Both Healy and Vaughn Gittin will return to the rocks for the Race of Kings. Healy, who qualified third will be looking for another King title. Â All in all, it was difficult day in the rocks for many of the competitors who spent hours trying to get into Hammertown for the finish or broke on the course and needed a recovery team.
