CARMEL, Ind. — Conor Daly will be back to off-roading, joining Dreyer & Reinbold Racing for Round Two and Three of the Nitrocross season.
Daly, who made his debut in the Nitrocross series in Round One in Oklahoma, is eager to showcase his skills once again at the Utah Motorsports Campus on August 18-19.
In his opening round appearance with the series, Daly made it to the finals.Â
“Dreyer & Reinbold Racing is thrilled to have Conor Daly back with us for Round Two and Three of the Nitrocross season,” said team owner Dennis Reinbold. “His exceptional talent, dedication, and fearlessness have been evident in every race he’s participated in. We are confident that Conor’s presence on the team will continue to push us towards the top of the leaderboard, and we can’t wait to see him take on the challenging Utah Motorsports Campus.”
The NTT IndyCar Series driver was released by Ed Carpenter Racing in June, following an over three-year stint. The 31-year-old competed for Meyer Shank Racing in place of an injured Simon Pagenaud for three races, with a best finish of 17th.Â
Daly will compete for Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing next week at Worldwide Technology Raceway in Illinois after the team released full-time driver Jack Harvey on Tuesday.Â
“I’m thrilled to be continuing with Dreyer & Reinbold Racing for the next rounds in Utah of the Nitrocross season,” Daly said. “The first round was an incredible experience, and I am genuinely impressed with the dedication and professionalism of the team. Utah Motorsports Campus is a fantastic venue, and I’m eager to take on the unique challenges it presents. I’m excited to keep the momentum going and go for another strong showing!”
In February, Daly competed in the Daytona 500 at Daytona (Fla.) Int’l Speedway, where he finished 29th.Â
