JAY, Okla. — Kyle Chaney might not have won the second Pro Turbo class race on Friday afternoon, but he still clinched the overall win in round four of the MAO SXS Championship Series.
Chaney soared straight to the lead with the holeshot, but was unable to hold off the Miller brothers throughout the course of the six-lap race.
Cody Miller, who had four consecutive overall wins coming into the weekend, held off his brother Hunter to steal another victory in his No. 22 entry. Chaney was scored third in his No. 91 machine, but his 1-3 finishes this week handed him the overall.
Hunter and Cody Miller finished second and third overall.
In the Pro N/A class, it was Chase Carr out early with the holeshot in race two. But the No. 913 battled back and forth with Kainan Baker for all six laps, eventually sliding to second and handing Baker the race win. Shawn Hess, Cross Kirchmeier and Eddie Ensign completed the top five.
Carr earned the overall win, with Hess and Baker rounding out the top three.
The second Pro Lite race of the week was full of drama, as Johnny Holtger and Kyle Greaves got into it on the sweeping S-turns on the banked portion of the track. Holtger tapped the Greaves’ left rear heading into the corner, which spun the No. 34.
Holtger crossed the finish line first, but the win was taken away, due to his on-track actions.
Connor Barry was deemed the winner, with Holtger, Greaves, Kainan Baker and Jacob Rosales completing the top five. Barry also triumphed over the week, with Greaves and Holtger rounding out the overall podium at Visions Off-Road.
