ENSENADA, Baja California, Mexico — 266 total vehicles have officially entered Friday’s start of the internationally televised BFGoodrich Tires 55th SCORE Baja 1000, presented by 4 Wheel Parts.
The season-finale of the four-race 2022 SCORE World Desert Championship is being held over a technical, rugged race course around Baja California Norte on Mexico’s magnificent and majestic Baja California peninsula.
With classes for Pro and Sportsman cars, trucks, UTVs, motorcycles and quads, racers from 37 U.S. States and 17 countries have entered to date.
While the fastest finishers are expected to finish in approximately 17 hours, all vehicles will have a 36-hour time limit from the time each starts to become an official finisher in the epic elapsed-time event.
The race includes 38 entries in the marquee SCORE Trophy Truck division (Including nine in SCORE TT Legend vehicles for SCORE Trophy-Truck drivers over 50 years old), the marquee racing division for high-tech, 1000-horsepower unlimited custom trucks.
Besides SCORE Trophy Truck, the other Pro classes with double figure entries and their totals are Pro UTV FI with 27 entries, Trophy Truck Spec with 26 entries, Class 10 (20), Pro Stock UTV (11) and Pro UTV Open (nine).
Among two-wheel classes in this race, Pro Motorcycle Ironman (solo riders) leads with 21 entries, Pro Moto Unlimited with nine entries and among sportsman classes, SPT Motorcycle has 13 official entries entering late, on-site racer registration.
