WWTR To Utilize Tixr Ticketing Platform

MADISON, Ill. — World Wide Technology Raceway has partnered with Tixr, the largest, fastest-growing privately-held primary ticketing and event commerce marketplace in the world, to deliver an elevated, seamless ticketing experience for its diverse events.

WWTR will use Tixr’s modern ticketing and eCommerce technology to offer interactive reserved seating and a highly-visual, mobile-friendly purchase experience that puts WWTR’s brand first and helps fans see what they’re actually buying.

Fans will also benefit from a number of innovative features unique to Tixr, including Tixr Waitlist, a credit card pre-authorization and bot-thwarting system for tickets in high demand, and Tixr Rewards, an ambassador program that incentivizes fans for referring ticket sales. On top of a more modern purchase experience, guests can tap into Tixr’s built-in, automated payment plan solution to pay in interest-free installments.

“It was important for us to listen to our fans as we developed our strategy to modernize our ticketing operations,” said Chris Blair, Executive Vice President and General Manager with World Wide Technology Raceway. “The Tixr team heard our commitment to put our brand and fans first and impressed us with their technology, flexibility, and service commitment built to handle the breadth of experiences we offer at the track. We want purchasing to be seamless, mobile-friendly, fair, and enjoyable, and that’s what Tixr brings to the table. Simple as that.”

WWTR plans to develop more comprehensive ticketing offerings with Tixr, such as camping packages, VIP and suite hospitality, and merchandise, in addition to managing series passes, group sales and single tickets.

Just last month, WWTR hosted year three of the NASCAR Cup Series Enjoy Illinois 300 with more than 100,000 guests on site from 46 states and 20 countries. WWTR’s Confluence Music Festival complemented the Cup Series with 30+ acts, including national headliners and military tributes, performing before, during and after the races.

The 2025 event will be ticketed entirely on Tixr among the myriad races and other events at WWTR. WWTR is the only track currently hosting the NASCAR Cup Series, NTT IndyCar Series and NHRA Drag Racing Series — American auto racing’s three largest motorsports touring series.

“Our new partnership with World Wide Technology Raceway is a testament to our shared commitment to enhancing the overall experience for fans and leveraging technology to streamline ticketing processes,” said Nate Liberman, VP of Sports for Tixr. “For more than 10 years, we’ve continued iterating on our platform to support diverse event types with unique needs, unify commerce on one system, and offer a modern alternative to legacy ticketing. Sports needs a renovation and we’re laser-focused on delivering fresh, innovative solutions that unlock the way our partners interact with their fans.”
