There’s still some life left in the racing season. In addition to a NASCAR tripleheader at Homestead-Miami Speedway, the Eastern States 200, the Trophy Cup and the final World of Outlaws race at Devil’s Bowl Speedway are also on the docket.
Eastern States 200
Another big-money weekend is on tap for the Northeast modified racing community as the 62nd annual Eastern States Weekend will be run at New York’s Orange County Fair Speedway.
The big-block modifieds will be the Sunday afternoon headliners with the Eastern States 200 the conclusion of three days of racing at the five-eighths-mile dirt track. The 200-lap race pays $30,000 to the winner.
Saturday features the 358 modifieds, while sportsman competitors will headline the Friday night program.

Trophy Cup
The 29th annual Trophy Cup race runs Thursday through Saturday at California’s Thunderbowl Raceway. It is the highest-paying 360 sprint car race in the world. This year’s event offers a $225,000 purse with $29,000 guaranteed to the Trophy Cup champion.
With a unique format that awards points throughout the week, Saturday’s feature winner may not be the Trophy Cup champion as the driver who amasses the most points over three nights gets the top award.
As well, the event benefits the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Shane Golobic is the reigning Trophy Cup champion.

Devil’s Bowl
The World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series will return to its birthplace for the final time this weekend, with two nights of racing at Devil’s Bowl Speedway.
The historic half-mile track has been sold for development and the series will make a final two-night stop where it’s first race was run on March 18, 1978.
There have been 88 previous World of Outlaws races at Devil’s Bowl.

Florida Triple
With title battles heating up, all three NASCAR national touring series will visit Homestead-Miami Speedway this weekend.
The NASCAR Cup Series will run its eighth playoff event with another chance for drivers to secure a spot in the Championship Four. Kyle Larson locked in with a triumph at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in round seven.
The NASCAR Xfinity Series and Craftsman Truck Series will each hold races on Saturday afternoon at the 1.5-mile race track.

Hockenheim DTM
Round eight of the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters from Germany’s famed Hockenheimring will feature a pair of races on the historic road course that will decide the series championship. Porsche driver Thomas Preining leads the standings, with Mirko Bortolotti and Ricardo Feller still in contention.

BAPS Sprint
One of the final winged sprint car races of the season takes the Central Pennsylvania circuit to BAPS Motor Speedway on Saturday afternoon for the fifth annual Britton Finkenbinder Memorial. Wingless sportsman and extreme stocks are also on the card.

Coming To America
Max Verstappen has already secured the Formula 1 championship with 14 victories in 17 races this season, but the world’s most popular racing series will make its second visit of the season to the United States.
Scenic Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas, will host the annual United States Grand Prix this weekend, with the race on Sunday afternoon.

Carl Short’s General Tire 43rd annual Dirt Track World Championship will be run at Ohio’s Eldora Speedway for the first time.
Sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series the event kicks off on Friday night with qualifying and a modified feature.
Saturday’s headlining 100-lap event that will pay $100,000 to the winner.

CARS Tour
The penultimate race of the season for the CARS Tour late model stock and pro late model competitors runs Saturday at North Carolina’s Tri-County Motor Speedway.
Carson Kvapil leads the late model stock points, with his brother, Caden Kvapil, on top in the pro late model class.

Legend Nationals
The Asphalt Nationals for U.S. Legend Cars competitors will be run this week at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Qualifying takes place Friday with championship races on Saturday.
