MOORESVILLE, N.C. — SPEED SPORT 1 announced its new motorsports network is now available on the most popular app platforms Apple TV, Apple iOS, Android and Amazon Fire.
With either app, users will have direct access to SPEED SPORT 1’s 24/7 television network, which features some of the best live racing from across the globe, as well as bonus on-demand video, highlights and other motorsports content.
SPEED SPORT 1 is a Free Ad Supported Television (“FAST”) network. No subscription or fees are required as it is supported entirely by advertising.
The app is another step forward for SPEED SPORT 1, which aims to eventually parallel its sister network Outdoor America in reaching more than 200 million devices. But even with major distribution announcements around the corner, race fans don’t like to wait. The SPEED SPORT 1 app gives them immediate access to the racing content they love, when and where they want it.
“With the launch of the SPEED SPORT 1 app, we are realizing our goal of expanding the availability of live racing and motorsports content from around the world to everyone, everywhere — free. Coming soon, fans will also have access to SPEED SPORT 1 directly from their internet-connected TV at no cost,” said Dan Teitscheid, president of SPEED SPORT 1.
Off-Road Week, which highlights the programming grid the week through the Labor Day holiday, features some of the best off-road racing in the country, with Ultra4 USA and MidAmerican short course racing airing in prime-time Monday – Thursday.
Leading into the weekend, SPEED SPORT 1 shifts its focus to Live coverage from the 54h Polaris Crandon World Championships — the Super Bowl of off-road racing.
SPEED SPORT 1 will deliver all the action live, including its popular “SPEED SPORT LIVE From” news, analysis and behind-the-scenes show, anchored by SPEED SPORT’s Ralph Sheheen and Ken Stout. If you can’t be there, it’s a great weekend to download the app, fire up the grill and watch some great off-road racing.
