2. Austin Prock
Austin Prock powered to his fourth NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series Funny Car triumph of the season Sunday at Washington’s Pacific Raceways. Prock leads the Funny Car standings. Last Week: 9
3. David Gravel
World of Outlaws sprint car series point leader David Gravel enjoyed a monster week, winning three times in five days. Gravel won the Brad Doty Classic, Joker’s Jackpot and the 41st Kings Royal, earning $290,00 in those three races alone. Gravel has won 12 features this season. Last Week: Not Ranked.
4. Kyle Larson
Kyle Larson scored a thrilling come-from-behind victory in Sunday’s Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. It was his fourth Cup Series victory this season — more than any other driver. Last Week: Not Ranked.
5. Stewart Friesen
Stewart Friesen won Saturday’s modified feature at Fonda (N.Y.) Speedway. Friesen has won 16 features this season, including one in an Empire Super Sprints car. Last Week: 7
6. Logan Seavey
Logan Seavey had a winless week competing in dirt late models, but finished second in the USAC Silver Crown Series race in Kansas. Seavey has won 10 national sprint car features and leads the standings. Last Week: 3
7. Max Verstappen
Formula 1 point leader Max Verstappen finished fifth in the Hungarian Grand Prix. He has won seven of 13 races this season. Last Week: 2
8. Ricky Thornton Jr.
Ricky Thornton Jr. picked up a Malvern Bank Series late model win at Huset’s Speedway, giving him 20 victories this season. Thornton continues to lead the Lucas Oil Dirt Car Series standings. Last Week: 3
9. Tyler Erb
Traveling dirt late model racer Tyler Erb secured the DIRTcar Summer Nationals championship with his 11th victory of the series at Ohio’s Wayne County Speedway. He has 14 overall victories this season. Last Week: 5.
10. Ryan Blaney
Reigning NASCAR Cup Series champion Ryan Blaney finished third in Sunday’s Brickyard 400 at Indianpolis Motor Speedway. Blaney has two Cup Series victories this season, including a July 14 win at Pocono Raceway. Last Week: 10
On The Rise: David Gravel soared into the rankings in the third spot this week after a trio of big-money sprint car victories in Ohio. Austin Prock and Kyle Larson also moved up the rankings.
Free Falling: Daison Pursley and Jett Lawrence, who is out for the rest of the season, fell from the rankings this week.
One To Watch: Devin Moran picked up a big-money late model victory at South Dakota’s Huset’s Speedway and continues to enjoy the best season of his career.
