Power Rankings: Macedo Rockets To The Top, Heim Out

It’s time for a new edition of SPEED SPORT Power Rankings. Who will be on top this week?

1. Carson Macedo

Carson Macedo won the 62nd annual National Open at Pennsylvania’s Williams Grove Speedway. It was his 10th victory of the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series campaign. Last Week: 3

2. Bobby Pierce

Bobby Pierce has won 34 dirt late model races this season. Among his victories this fall have been the Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals and the World 100 at Eldora Speedway. Last Week: 1

3. Rico Abreu

Rico Abreu has won 11 winged sprint car features this season, most recently topping the winged sprint car main event during the 4-Crown Nationals at Ohio’s Eldora Speedway. Last Week: 2

4. Austin Prock

Austin Prock continues to lead the NHRA Funny Car standings. He was the No. 1 qualifier and a semi-final finisher at World Wide Technology Raceway. He’s won seven races this season. Last Week: 4

5. Dallas Glenn

Dallas Glenn earned his second consecutive NHRA Pro Stock triumph during the Countdown to the Championship. He’s won five races this season and leads the standings with three races remaining. Last Week: 5

6. Buddy Kofoid

Buddy Kofoid topped Saturday’s preliminary feature for the National Open at Williams Grove Speedway. He’s won five features in the past month. Last Week: 7

7. Matt Hirschman

Asphalt modified racer Matt Hirschman won the Fall Final at Connecticut’s Stafford Motor Speedway for the second straight year. The win came one week after Hirschman topped the Race of Champions at Lake Erie Speedway for the ninth time. Last Week: 6

8. Cannon McIntosh

Cannon McIntosh earned $20,039 for winning the BC39 USAC midget race at The Dirt Track at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. This week he wrapped up the Xtreme Outlaw Midget Series championship. Last Week: 8

9. Jonathan Davenport

Jonathan Davenport won the Pittsburgher 100 for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series at Pennsylvania Motor Speedway. It was his 13th dirt late model victory this season. Last Week: Not Ranked

10. Logan Seavey

Logan Seavey earned his first USAC Silver Crown Series victory of the season Sunday at the Terre Haute Action Track. He’s also won 13 USAC sprint car features and two USAC midget triumphs. Last Week: Not Ranked

Free Falling: NHRA Pro Stock driver Aaron Stanfield and Truck Series title contender Corey Heim fell from the rankings this week.
