Day two of Race Industry Week kicks off with Steve Phelps, President of NASCAR. Based in Daytona Beach, Florida, Phelps oversees all operations, competition and commercial, for the sanctioning body, including the management of 15 race track facilities and the International Motor Sports Ass’n sports car series.

Utilizing his personal helicopter to get supplies to those in western NC, he has also set up a Venmo account that is accepting donations to pay for fuel and supplies that are being delivered.
