7 — Kyle Larson became the seventh driver to win the Knoxville Nationals at least three times with his third victory on Saturday. The others are Steve Kinser (12), Donny Schatz (11), Doug Wolfgang (5), Kenny Weld (4), Danny Lasoski (4) and Mark Kinser (3).
5 — With his victory in the Knoxville Nationals, Kyle Larson had won five consecutive sprint car starts. He does for No. 6 Thursday at California’s Thunderbowl Raceway.
28 — A $75,000 triumph in the North/South 100 was Bobby Pierce’s 28th dirt late model victory this season.
2 — USAC Silver Crown Series races this week. The series races on asphalt on Friday at World Wide Technology Raceway in Madison, Ill., and hits the dirt the following day at the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield.
15 — When Kody Swanson won Saturday’s USAC Silver Crown Series race at Jennerstown (Pa.) Speedway, it marked the 15th different track at which he’s won (44 victories) a series event.

5 — Conor Daly was tapped to pilot Juncos Hollinger Racing’s No. 78 Chevrolet for the five remaining events on the NTT IndyCar Series calendar. The team and previous driver, Augustin Canapino, parted ways on Aug. 7.
