IndyCar, IMSA Highlight Road America Schedule

ELKHART LAKE, Wis. — Road America has unveiled its tentative 2025 schedule, marking its 70th Anniversary.

With a storied history from its inception in 1955, Road America has become synonymous with world-class events, and the upcoming season is poised to be no exception as America’s National Park of Speed ushers in its platinum jubilee. 

The season starts in style with the Spring Vintage Weekend with SVRA from May 16-18. This nostalgic celebration pays homage to classic cars and the racing heritage that has captivated generations. Enthusiasts can witness timeless race machinery thundering around the track, evoking the glorious days of motorsport’s past.

MotoAmerica Superbikes and Vintage MotoFest hit the track from May 30-June 1. Prepare for heart-pounding motorcycle racing action, where competitors will push the limits in a quest for supremacy. The event promises fierce competition and unforgettable moments that will leave spectators on the edge of their seats.

Mid-June ushers in the WeatherTech Chicago Region SCCA June Sprints from June 6-8. This tradition spotlights grassroots racing talent and an eclectic array of vehicles, making it a fan favorite.

The season’s open-wheel crown jewel arrives with the IndyCar XPEL Grand Prix presented by AMR from June 19-22. This prestigious event gathers the finest open-wheel racers from around the globe, ensuring a breathtaking showcase of speed, skill and strategy. 

The Cheese Capital Cup, featuring the Trans Am Speed Tour, roars into action from June 27-29. Mustangs, Camaros, Challengers and Corvettes provide a dose of pure Americana, promising thrilling races and high-speed nostalgia. 

July brings the WeatherTech Vintage Weekend with Brian Redman from July 17-20. Historic racing machines take center stage, paying tribute to the golden era of motorsports. It’s a must-see event for those who appreciate the timeless beauty of vintage racing. This year’s feature is expected to include an extraordinary Formula 1 Exhibition and the United States Road Racing Championship invitational.

The USRRC was a sports car racing series organized by the Sports Car Club of America from 1963 to 1968, featuring iconic American and European sports cars competing on challenging road courses across the country. Renowned for its high-speed battles and legendary drivers, the USRRC laid the groundwork for future endurance racing events in the United States.

The GRIDLIFE Summer Apex Music & Motorsports Festival takes place from July 25-27. Blending motorsport and music for an unforgettable weekend of high-energy fun. This unique festival combines on-track action with off-track entertainment, making it a hit with fans of all ages.

August heats up with the SportsCar Weekend with IMSA from July 31-Aug. 3, where fans can witness cutting-edge sports car technology and intense competition on Road America’s iconic circuit, a true testament to the evolution of motorsports.

Also in August is the GT World Challenge America, which runs from August 15-17. This adrenaline-fueled extravaganza celebrates speed, skill and cutting-edge engineering, showcasing the finest performance racing machines from elite global luxury auto brands. Expect to see magnificent GT3, GT4, and Touring Car machines as they take on the legendary 4-mile, 14-turn road race circuit at America’s National Park of Speed.

The Ariens Art on Wheels Vintage Weekend with VSCDA from Sept. 12-14 adds an artistic flair to the racing scene. It seamlessly blends vintage cars with the art world, creating a unique and captivating atmosphere.

The grand finale, the SCCA National Championship Runoffs, which will take place from Oct. 3-5, promises an adrenaline-packed spectacle. Competitors nationwide will vie for championship glory in various classes, bringing the season to a thrilling close.
