MEXICO CITY — Max Verstappen once again found himself at the top of the timesheets following Friday’s free practice sessions for the Mexico City Grand Prix.
The Red Bull Racing driver set a blazing pace of 1 minute, 18.686 seconds at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez.
“I think it was a positive start to the weekend, of course, it wasn’t plain sailing out there today, there are always a few things to improve. You can see that the track is very slippery and the tires were difficult to manage in the long runs, so there are still a few things that we can work on,” Verstappen said.
McLaren’s Lando Norris was closest in pursuit, filing a fast lap of 1 minute, 18.805 seconds.
