Verstappen Lands Pole Position For Miami Grand Prix

Max Verstappen is now two-for-two on the weekend at Formula 1’s Miami Grand Prix.

After earning pole position for the Sprint race on Saturday, the Red Bull Racing driver continued on to qualify No. 1 for Sunday’s Grand Prix. With a 1 minute, 27.241 second lap time, Verstappen secured his seventh consecutive pole position.

“It has been difficult over the weekend with the tires, as they have quite low grip, overheat quickly and we have also struggled with the balance of the car. It has just been quite unpredictable, and everyone has found that it has been difficult to put a lap in. Despite this, ultimately the most important thing is that we put it on pole and that this is seven poles in a row, which is something to be proud of,” Verstappen said.

Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc remained close behind with a 1 minute, 27.382 second lap time.

Carlos Sainz, Sergio Perez and Lando Norris completed the top five.
