BARCELONA, Spain — Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton paced the second Formula 1 practice session of the day Friday ahead of the Spanish Grand Prix. He recorded a time of 1:13:264 around the 2.894-mile circuit in his Mercedes.
Carlos Sainz placed second in his Ferrari, Lando Norris was third in his McLaren with Pierre Gasly in fourth. Max Verstappen, the reigning three-time series champion and winner in Montreal, Canada two weeks ago, was fifth.Â
Charles LeClerc, Oscar Piastri, George Russell, Esteban Ocon and Valtteri Bottas rounded out the top 10.Â
Norris had the quickest time in the first session earlier in the day.Â
