BAKU CITY, Azerbaijan — Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc led the second practice on Friday afternoon for Sunday’s Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
Leclerc topped the session with a lap of 1 minute and 43.806 seconds, nipping his teammate, Sergio Perez, who turned the fastest lap during the opening practice session.
Point leader Max Verstappen was third for Red Bull Racing.
Fernando Alonso was fourth quick for Alpine, while Carlos Sainz rounded out the top five in the second Ferrari entry.
George Russell led the Mercedes effort in seventh, with Lewis Hamilton 12th.
