Formula 1 has revealed its 2024 schedule, which is set to have a record 24 races.
The schedule is similar to this season’s though with the addition of the Chinese Grand Prix. No new events will be introduced during the 24-race slate.
The calendar also reflects efforts by F-1 to address logistical and sustainability issues, with some races grouped together in a more logical fashion based on geography.
Starting the season off will be the Bahrain Grand Prix on March 2, followed by the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix on March 9. Both races will be run on a Saturday to accommodate Ramadan.

“I am delighted to announce the 2024 calendar with 24 races that will deliver an exciting season for our fans around the world,” Stefano Domenicali, President and CEO of Formula 1 said. “There is huge interest and continued demand for Formula 1, and I believe this calendar strikes the right balance between traditional races and new and existing venues.
“I want to thank all of the promoters and partners for their support and effort to achieve this great schedule. Our journey to a more sustainable calendar will continue in the coming years as we further streamline operations as part of our Net Zero 2030 commitment. We have plenty of racing to look forward to in 2023, including the inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix, and our fans can look forward to more excitement next season.”
Other changes made to the schedule include the Japanese Grand Prix moved to April, Azerbaijan to September and Qatar back-to-back with Abu Dhabi.
The United States will continue to hold three events on the schedule, which includes the Miami Grand Prix (May 3-5), United States Grand Prix at Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas (October 18-20) and the second annual Las Vegas Grand Prix (November 21-23).
